How to create bubble plot in Minitab:
A sports teacher want to check the relationship between weight and height of the 25 of students.
To run this experiment he collected data for 20 student wrt. Weight and height accordingly.
He knew that this experiment can run quickly with the help of Minitab scatter plot.
So he used Minitab to conduct this experiment.
He run bubble plot for data collected and got some results.
You also can use bubble plot to check relationship between data with following the steps easily.
Steps to run bubble plot in Minitab
Step-1: Open Minitab software
Step-2: Select the data collected
Step-3: Insert the data into Minitab software
Step-4: Click on Graph tab from menu
Step-5: Now click on Graph
Step-6: Select Bubble plot
Step-7: Pop up will be generate like this
Step-8: Select Simple type
Step-9: click on Ok
Step-9: New pop up will generate
In Y variable, enter the column that you want to explain or predict.
2.In X variable, enter a corresponding column that might explain changes in the Y variable.
3.In Bubble size variable, enter a column that determines the size (area ) of the bubbles.
4.In Panel variables (optional):, enter up to two columns that define panels. Minitab displays each unique combination of values on a separate panel.
Click on Ok
Step-10: Now click on Ok and we will get result in session window.
Step-11: Now it’s time to read the result
Result Interpretation:
In this example we selected weight and height and no. of days of exercise of 25 students and plot the bubble plot for data.
Based on data plotted it is showing that there is positive relation between the weight and height.
